    Statement of Practice Philosophy

    Dr. Paul R. Gittens is a board certified urologist and is the director of Centers for Sexual Medicine. He is a master microsurgeon, and specializes in the field of male and female sexual dysfunction, pain with intercourse and pelvic floor dysfunction.

    When caring for women he treats all forms of sexual dysfunction, which include: low sexual desire, lack of orgasms, hormone replacement and problems associated with menopause. For his male patients’ he specializes in erectile dysfunction, the placement of penile implants, Peyronie’s disease, premature ejaculation, and penile rehabilitation after radical prostatectomy and radiation therapy. He also treats men with a history of anabolic steroid use that have problems with infertility, decrease libido and sexual function.


    Dr. Gittens is an expert in the field of male fertility—encompassing microscopic vasectomy reversal, microscopic testicular sperm extraction, microsurgical varicocele repair, and the more complicated epididymovasosotomy. He also treats complicated hormone disturbances that cause infertility.

    Dr. Gittens is one of the only specialist in the nation that focuses on testicular pain and groin pain. He uses a combination of physical therapy, oral medications, nerve blocks and he is one of the only in the physicians in the area that performs a microsurgical nerve denervation that has over an 80% success rate in the correct patient.
