In 1982 I founded the group called Pain, Anesthesia and Critical Care Services (PACS). Subsequently renamed Anesthesia Consulting Services (ACS) after my retirement in November 1993.
After my Residency and Fellowship, I was a Lt.Commander Navy at Great Lakes Regional Medical Center. Medical Director of the Critical Care Unit and of Respiratory Therapy, and instructor in the Anesthesia program. I was on the USS Midway in April of 1973 for the evacuation of Viet Nam.
I went to Wichita Kansas to start a group at St. Francis Hospital and my practice grew rapidly. I was active in the American Heart Association as a chairmen of the CPR Committee, Affiliate Faculty for Advanced Cardiac Life Support, as an instructor to the teachers of the Technique. Later became President of the Sedgwick County AHA and then for the State of Kansas. I was a Clinical Professor for the KU Med. School and on faculty at Wichita State University for Respiratory Therapy. Also I was asked to be an oral examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiologists, which I did for 2 years.I know have a home in Wichita, Kansas and Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Orchid Florida. Enjoying retirement! I still play the violin every Sunday at Mass and have been a 1st violinist in Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra for the last 7 years. I play golf 3 times a week and work out 3-4 times a week. What a life.
