- Dr. Rachel Moss is a board certified pediatrician who is currently a pediatric critical care fellow. Dr. Moss is passionate about providing quality care with an emphasis on safe and effective patient communication. She received $50,000 in financial support from the ACGME Back to Bedside Grant, Mount Sinai Pediatric Scholars Program, and the Women's Auxiliary Board to create and grow a medical Spanish program for critical care nurses, physicians, social work, child life specialists, etc. She is also the lead on a quality improvement initiative in the PICU to increase documentation of interpreters. Within the last year, the compliance rate has increased from 15% to 70%.
Outside of patient communication research, Dr. Moss is interested in medical education, liver failure, and mentorship.
