Dr. Bock was Founding Director of the Mission Health System Vascular Center. He served for ten years on the Board of Directors of Mission Health system and on its Executive and Finance Committees. In 2016 Bock was recruited to Charlotte to serve a three-year term as Chief & Medical Director of Vascular Surgery at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. After rebuilding its program and recruiting his successor, in 2019 he returned to Asheville to open a 100% vein subspecialty practice, welcoming vascular surgeon partner Danielle Fontenot in 2021.
Bock has published papers in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, and other journals. He leads a trail running group which convenes most weekends in the mountains above Asheville.
