Summary
- I am a Board-Certified Ob/Gyn with decades of experience. My education included Brown University undergraduate, Jefferson Medical School, and University of Michigan for residency.
For the past 22 years I have been specializing as a pain management practitioner for both women and men with abdominal, pelvic, genital, and sexual pain disorders. We have now seen patients from about forty states and about eighteen foreign countries.
In 2019 a revised paperback edition was published which I co-authored 15 years ago with Susan Bilheimer- "Secret Suffering - How Women's Sexual and Pelvic Pain Affects their Relationships".
I am currently completing an E-book for both patients and clinicians outlying the evolution of our unique approach to over 2200 patients around the world. "Handbook on Treating Chronic Pelvic, Genital, and Sexual Pain Disorders - Memoir and Historical Description of the Echenberg Model of Care"
Our program is based on current Neuroscience principles of chronic pain processing applied within a biopsychosocial framework.
