- Scott McMahon, MD, is a pediatrician located in Roswell, NM, with a residency in pediatrics completed at Duke University Hospital. He attained his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1989. In 2013, he became the world's first doctor to achieve certification in the Shoemaker Protocol for the diagnosis and treatment of CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome), an emerging environmental illness.
In 2009, he started Whole World Health Care, a practice focused on environmental health and the diagnosis and treatment of CIRS.
In 2014, he co-founded FHL Pediatrics. He retired from FHL Pediatrics in 2020 but continues to perform hospitalist work locally.
Dr. McMahon has extensive experience in environmental health and biotoxin-related illnesses, with 10 publications in medical journals covering topics such as visual contrast sensitivity, intranasal VIP use in managing chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS), and brain abnormalities due to exposure to water-damaged buildings. He has co-authored and co-edited a medical textbook and written chapters for another.
In 2025, Dr. McMahon retired from clinical CIRS practice and became the Medical Director of MoldCo - a digital, DTC, online platform for the care of patients with environmental illness. MoldCo is currently in closed beta testing in 2 states and plans to be nationwide by the end of 2025.
