Summary

  • I am a urologist who cares for patients with diseases of the urinary tract, including kidney stones, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and men’s health issues. I have expertise in advanced kidney stone treatment and surgery as well as robot-assisted surgery of the prostate, kidney and ureter.

As a urologist at an academic medical center, I am involved in teaching and education. I am a member of the UCSD Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center.

My previous research includes the study of molecular pathways in the progression of benign prostatic hyperplasia, risk factors for stone formation, and analysis of age and other risk factors on predicting prostate cancer-specific survival.

I completed fellowship training in laparoscopy/robotics and endourology at UC San Diego.
