Summary

  • I am a Pediatrician with Cleveland Clinic Community Care in the Department of Primary Care Pediatrics in our Willoughby Hills Family Health Center. I completed my PhD in Developmental Biology at Case Western Reserve University in 1972 and did a fellowship at UC San Diego until 1974. I then taught Developmental Biology at Georgetown University. In 1978 I was accepted into the University of Miami, "PhD to MD" program and completed my MD in 1980. After 3 years of training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, I completed my Public Health Service obligation at St. Luke's Hospital in 1985 and started as a pediatrician with Kaiser Permanente. During my 18 years with Kaiser, I served as Chief of Pediatrics, in addition to working as the Medical Director of Adolescent Chemical Dependency and later as the Medical Director of the adult CD program. I left Kaiser in 2004 for 5 years of Urgent Care/Workers Comp work with MedGroup in Stow and Fairlawn, putting to good use my 18 years of work in the Kaiser ED.

I am thrilled to be a practicing Pediatrician with my colleagues in the Cleveland Clinic Community Care Department of Primary Care Pediatrics. My special interests are caring for newborns, ADHD, Behavioral Health and management of Asthma.

I live with my beautiful wife of 40 years, Nadene. We live near my daughter, Rachel and her husband Dr. Mike Levinson (Medical Director of the Marymount ED) and their 3 children. My son David is a partner of the James Cohan Galleries in Manhattan. My younger son, Jonas, is an entrepreneur and raises money for venture capital funds which invest in start-ups that come from various organizations, especially Stanford research. He has special interests and skills in the development of "green " ventures .

Our hybrid Havanese/Pomeranian puppy, Monty, is 10 years old and doing very well.
