Summary

  • I started my career serving an American Indian population in Oklahoma. There I learned how to focus very few resources to provide excellent care to a highly acute population. I spent the next 7 years directing Family Medicine Residencies in Oklahoma, then Colorado. My focus was providing training that empowered graduates to practice in rural settings.
    In 2008 I joined the Exempla Physician Network as a practicing Family Physician. After stints as Primary Care Medical Director and then Chief Medical Officer, I was appointed President of the group in 2013. I currently provide financial, operational, and clinical leadership to this talented, multi-disciplinary, group practice employed by SCL Health in Denver.
