  • Dr. Tatyana Shkolnikov, MD, FAAP is a Board certified pediatrician who joined The Children's Medical Group in 2023. After she graduated Smolensk Medical School in Russia, she worked as a general pediatrician and then as Director of Neonatology Department at Regional Childrens Hospital (500 beds) in Russia. She also participated in the international research program conducted by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and St. Petersburg Research Medical Center in connection with the Chernobyl disaster, resulting in two publications at IAEA Bulletin.
    In 1994, Dr.Shkolnikov moved to the US and completed her Residency at Brookdale University Hospital in New York and Fellowship Program at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY. After completing her training, she joined Pediatric Emergency Department at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY until 2009 when she joined Carmel Pediatrics in Putnam County.
    Aside from her work in the office, she is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College.
    Dr. Shkolnikov firmly embraces the concept of the medical home, a centralized base for caring for children and their entire family. Her philosophy is shared by all staff from physicians to the front desk. She believes in the value of continuous and holistic care and she wants her patients to know that her care and concern for them is present not only for the duration of their visits, but also throughout their lives.
    Her goal is to be work side by side with her patient’s parents to help raise healthy children, both physically and emotionally. With that goal in mind, she is committed to continuously educating herself and incorporating the best technology to provide superb care.
