  • Dr. Tom Inge is professor of surgery and pediatrics and holds the Akers endowed chair in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital of Colorado and University of Colorado, Denver. In 2017, he established the Adolescent Bariatric Surgery Center at Children’s Colorado, integrating a surgical treatment option into the existing obesity treatment program for adolescents with severe obesity. Dr. Inge has been continuously funded by the NIH since 2006, developing the evidence base defining the role of surgery to treat adolescents with clinically severe obesity. He and his team have produced over 150 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and he has provided over 130 invited lectures for national and international professional groups.

    He is actively engaged in the practice of general and thoracic pediatric surgery, and adolescent bariatric surgery.
