He earned his Bachelor of Science from University of California Berkeley, MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and medical degree from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Gonzalez completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School, then went on to pursue a subspecialty fellowship training in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

    Throughout his carrier, Dr. Gonzalez has focused on improving patient care, medical education, and research. His committed interest and passion in translational, clinical and biomechanical research has prompted over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications and several book chapters in orthopaedic surgery. Additionally, Dr. Gonzalez routinely lectures in regional, national and international forums on foot and ankle topics and improving value-based patient care. As such, Dr. Gonzalez acts as an active reviewer for Foot and Ankle International, Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics and Foot and Ankle Specialist He is a member of various foot and ankle surgery societies and is the President and Founder of Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Inc a collaboration for young foot and ankle surgeons to improve patient care and treatment strategies.

    Dr. Gonzalez has a clinical interest in foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle arthritis,ankle replacement surgery,deformity correction, Charcot Marie Tooth disease,sports-related injuries, cartilage preservation and replacement surgery,minimally-invasive foot and ankle surgery,bunion and hammertoe surgery,ligament/tendon disorders,Dance medicine and orthopaedic trauma and fracture care.

    From these experiences Dr. Gonzalez Co- founded and is CEO of both Pombo,a medical education application using the most advanced forms of AI and machine learning to improve research and Redwood Tech, LLC a healthcare driven thinktank
