Dr. Victor Montori is an endocrinologist based in Rochester, MN, specializing in diabetes and lipid metabolism. He completed his medical education at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and pursued further training in internal medicine (was also chief resident) and endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic. He has since taken part in fellowships at McMaster University (evidence based medicine with Dr Gordon Guyatt) and on Surveillance Capitalism at Harvard Kennedy School with Prof Shoshana Zuboff). Dr. Montori has extensive experience in diabetes care. His research focuses on making care fit the lives of each person using shared decision making and minimally disruptive care. This work has produced over 840 publications and have made Montori a highly cited researcher in clinical medicine and social science. He founded and currently chairs the Board at The Patient Revolution, a non profit organization serving as the backbone for a global movement for careful and kind care for all.
