Summary

  • I believe that the body has an almost wondrous ability to heal itself. As I started my training at NYU over 10 years ago, I learned all about the physiology and exact mechanics of how the body functions. I went to medical school in the West Indies where I continued to learn on patients from a Caribbean background, later coming to NY to finish my rotations I came across people from all walks of life, with various diseases. I've rotated through some of the most diverse hospitals- Brooklyn, Methodist, and Beth Israel. I later trained for 3 years at the largest hospital in brooklyn, Maimonides Medical Center. My training there has made me feel prepared for any situation- disease or social related. After my training, I traveled the world for a while to learn about different cultures before joining a family practice. My philosophy is that we need to look at the big picture when it comes to health. Why do diseases arise? Where do they come from? Not just how to fix it, but really get to the root cause. My main approach is natural remedies, educating you on good sleep hygiene, meditation practices, but also working with western medicine and medication if needed. I want to bring back the doctor-patient relationship that I believe we all need.
