Summary
- Dr. Udell is a compassionate urologist dedicated to maximizing patients’ experiences and improving their lives. His significant expertise in minimally invasive robotic surgery for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer has allowed him to help thousands of patients through their most difficult times during his decade of experience.
Trained by some of the esteemed leaders in their fields, Dr. Udell graduated residency from The University of North Carolina in 2015. In addition to robotic cancer surgeries, he specializes in treating the side effects that occur after cancer treatment or otherwise. He is experienced in performing cutting-edge treatments for these quality-of-life issues, including erectile dysfunction, urinary leakage, Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature), and low testosterone. He currently serves on the OncoSexology Committee for the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.
Raised in Idaho and Montana, his upbringing fostered a love for the Pacific Northwest. This motivated his family’s return after spending 7 years in at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, NC as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of North Carolina and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained countless medical students and residents at a Level 1 trauma center, and his trauma experience is expansive. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. He remains committed to staying on the forefront of technology while training the next generation of patient-centered physician leaders.
Dr. Udell enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and two daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys playing guitar (poorly), being on the boat, and snowboarding with his family and friends.
