  • Dr. Dozier is a Fort Lauderdale, Florida native and is a graduate from the University of Florida. Following medical school, he completed a residency in General Surgery at Rutgers NJMS in Newark, New Jersey. During residency, he conducted two additional years of cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, New York. His research focused on combining surgery with immunotherapy, a type of cancer therapy that empowers the body’s own cells to fight cancer.


    Following his residency, he then completed fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Dozier specializes in removing both benign and malignant tumors of the lung, esophagus and mediastinum using Robotic techniques. In addition, he is trained in the diagnosis, treatment, and care for benign, malignant, and traumatic diseases involving chest wall, trachea, pleura, and diaphragm.

    Dr. Dozier currently practices at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, the leader in health care and thoracic oncology in the state of Louisiana and the Gulf South!
