Overview of Dr. Hoffman
Mitchel Hoffman, MD, is an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist with a subspecialty in Gynecologic Oncology based in Tampa, FL. He completed his medical education and residency at the University of South Florida Morsani, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Hoffman is currently an oncologist at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. He has surgical expertise in the management of gynecologic cancers, and pelvic tumors including uterine fibroids. His contributions to the field include over 250 publications on topics such as robotic surgery and surgical training, two textbooks and he is a recipient of multiple honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2024 and the USF Health Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2023. Dr. Hoffman is sought after for his surgical expertise and lectures around the world. He has been president of The Society of Pelvic Surgeons and president of the South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
