Summary
- Dr. Raymond Dufresne is a retired dermatologist/Mohs surgeon in Barrington, RI. He received his medical degree and also completed his training in internal medicine and Dermatology from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After a dermatologic surgery and Mohs fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, return to Rhode Island joining the Brown faculty. He was the first Mohs surgeon in the state. His struggle with Blue Cross of RI led to his setting national policies for Mohs Surgery. His research interest have focused on surgical and lab safety, cutaneous oncology, and reconstruction. He is proud to have worked with Dr. Phillips in her early studies in Body Dysmorphism. However, it was the patients and residents he enjoyed most. He retired as a full academic professor soon after his final duty as interim chair. He and Laura (married over 40 years!) spend their time in RI, Cape Cod, Sanibel Fl. and visiting their only grandchild in Baltimore.
