Dr. Leacock completed his medical education at Howard University, his residency training at Temple University Hospital, and neurocritical care fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Receiving Hospital. Dr. Leacock is currently Clinical Professor with the University of South Carolina Department of Surgery and Prisma Health Midlands. He has previously served as Acting Medical Director of the Neuro ICU at Prisma Health Richland, Stroke Center Medical Director at Prisma Health Upstate, Associate Professor in the Division of Neurocritical Care at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and Stroke Center Medical Director at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (currently ECU Health). Through national committee involvement, Dr. Leacock has gained leadership experience with the American Heart Association, American Academy of Neurology, Neurocritical Care Society, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has participated in scholarly publications with stroke, health disparities, and inclusivity. He has been recognized with a Palmetto Health Men of Impact Honoree (currently Prisma Health), President's Service Award at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Award of Appreciation for Outstanding Dedication to the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and a "Caring Physician" Award at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and Hospital.
