Summary

  • I practiced primary care pediatrics for eight years in suburban Detroit, working in small independent practices.

After eight years of practice, I moved to the "dark side" as a Physician Informaticist at Epic. While at Epic, I worked with CMOs and CMIOs to ensure they were maximally leveraging Epic's electronic health record. I also helped create Epic's Foundation System by acting as a subject matter expert on clinical content and configuration recommendations. Additionally, I supported Epic's customers as they implemented and optimized their EHR, specifically working on physician training, physician adoption, and clinical change management.

I'm formerly the Chief Medical Information Officer for Agnesian HealthCare, a three-hospital system with a tightly-bound large multi-specialty group. Also, I served as interim CMIO at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and at El Camino Health in Mountain View, CA.

I am now the Chief Medical Officer at Nordic Consulting Partners, a healthcare management consulting firm.
