Dr. H. Paul Putman III is a well-established Psychiatrist based in Austin, Texas. He completed his psychiatry residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1986 as Chief Resident, after graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine. He specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology, and metacognition. Dr. Putman has numerous publications, with works focusing on treatment resistance, cognitive errors in practice, and psychopharmacology. His distinguished career has resulted in several honors and awards, including Fellow from the American College of Psychiatrists in 2023 and Distinguished Life Fellow from the American Psychiatric Association in 2017, and he continues to teach and lecture.
