Dr. Schwartz has considerable experience in treating metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus, obesity and obesity-related disorders, and lipid metabolism disorders. He has several notable publications in renowned medical journals ( focus on a recommended new classification of all Diabetes- creating 'diabetes syndrome', early recognition and therapy of prediabetes, and connection of inflammation to retinopathy and its relation to dementia riak) and participated in clinical trials focused on diet and diabetes management. His work is well-regarded, as evidenced by his numerous honors including a Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification, Super Doctor recognition and a Fellow (FACE) award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology.
